Finished the Diffusemap and also made a specular and a normalmap for the electrical box. I had to remade the lighting in the scene because it suddenly stopped working, so it’s not 100% correct in comparison to the older shots.

Spent an hour texturing the electrical box and its just a diffusemap at this point.

I’ve finished writing my thesis now and at the moment I’m not working that hard on projects but relaxing a bit. I spend at the most an hour a day working on stuff.

spent an hour UVmapping the smaller elements in the scene and I also remade the windows.

Edit: Correction, changed ”texturing” to UVmapping as it was what I was doing.

The university I’m about to graduate with a bachelor degree from just posted a Demo reel of a bunch of projects made in the ”Dataspelsutveckling” program (Computer Game development).

There are three projects in the video that I’ve been involved in: Rope, a HL2 modification where I worked as an environment artist. Shack, the Unreal engine 3 scene i made using Roboblitz and Steamgunners, a top down tactical shooter I worked on as an environment artist last spring.

The demo reel is available in Quicktime and Windows media player.

There’s alot of other projects in the demo reel as well so you might want to check it out even if you have seen the stuff in my portfolio. Something worth mentioning, I don’t remember giving my permission to use my stuff in the video. Is that legal? I don’t really care but in the words of Elton John, ”it’s a little bit funny”

Spent a few hours touching up the buildings today. Made skulls for Thule, tweaked the texture for Covenant and made a bunch of stuff for Nihlim.

Changed theme/style on this place so images are shown correctly, regardless of resolution.

Also, Arlene Larsson (Photographer, Journalist and also that special someone in my life) took a bunch of pictures of me for a possible piece in a newspaper. I’ll post more news on that if it develops

Also, I GOT A JOB! As of as-soon-as-i-find-an-apartment I will begin employment at Grin (www.grin.se) as an environment artist. Hell yea!

Otherwise I’m working hard on my thesis and playing GTA4.
